Dr. Terecita Dean is by far the best dentist I've ever had. I have been a patient for many years. I once moved out of the area and visited three different dentists closer to my home, which resulted in unsatisfactory dental work and a lot of pain and discomfort! It was worth the extra 10 minute drive to return to Dr. Dean's office in Alameda. Dr. Dean is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in her field. She and her attentive staff truly care not just about my teeth but also about my overall well-being. With the opening of Dr. Dean's Wellness Center, patients have the convenient opportunity to attain a healthy balance of mind and body. My family receives great care and also benefits from Kids On The Move America (KOTMA), a foundation initiated by Dr. Dean to help children learn how to live, eat, and think in a healthy manner. Dr. Dean and her staff conduct all-day Saturday sessions and after-school Wednesday homework help for the children. They are taught nutrition, cooking, yoga, dance, writing, and public speaking. Professional, celebrity, and political figures visit and share a wealth of interesting information that opens the kids' minds to many career opportunities. They also participate in fundraisers and learn about charity. Over the few years my children have been involved in KOTMA, they have developed good eating habits, have a desire to help others in need, and plan to attend college and pursue careers of their choice. We don't see ourselves as patients of Dr. Dean. It feels more like we're part of The Wellness Center family.

I have had the pleasure of being Dr. Dean's patient for more than twenty years. My husband saw Dr. Dean's ad in the San Francisco magazine and encouraged me to make an appointment with her when I moved to the Bay Area. Going to Dr. Dean was a big step since I had never been to a dentist before; but Dr. Dean immediately placed me at ease. In her extremely competent hands I was soon on the path of good dental hygiene after many years of neglect and indifference. When Dr. Dean pulled my wisdom teeth it was a painless experience, and I gladly returned for a deep Root planning. I lectured friends and family to join the ranks of Dr. Dean's patients. As an instant fan, I gladly handed her the fate of my teeth to Dr. Dean. I didn't even think twice when Dr. Dean recommended I get braces at the age of 50.
